Workshops are run on a variety of courses at all of our Community Learning Centres venues at different periods of time during the year. Beginner Photoshop
This course is aimed at people who wish to learn basic Photoshop skills. There is no photographic content, other than
using photos within the programs. Pictures/photos for manipulation will be supplied during the course and the opportunity
of working with your own images is also included. It is advantageous for students to have access to their own computers for
off-site assignments and practice.
The course will use Adobe Photoshop as the main image manipulation program.

Beginners Digital Photography
A practical course in digital photography tailored for people who have recently bought a digital camera, or have one that they
are unsure of using properly and would like to improve their skills.
Course Preparation:
Learners must have their own digital camera to be able to complete the course. Access to a computer would be useful for any off-site assignments.
Learners should bring along the camera, cables, instructions books, battery chargers or any other relevant gear that came with the camera, forevery session.
Course Will Include:
Digital camera basics, photographic basics, care of your camera, downloading images, practical shooting at every session, printers and printing,shooting techniques, accessories, use of the internet for digital photography, hints and tips and a variety of additional knowledge depending onclass needs.

March 10 to April 14 (Thursday)
June 8 to June 25 (Wednesday and Thursday)

Digital Photography (DSLR)
This course is aimed specifi cally at people who have been using their digital SLR cameras, know how to operate them and
would like to try out some of the more advanced features in a practical manner.
- Specifi cally for those with Digital SLR cameras.

compact cameras. If in doubt, please contact Customer Services. It is advantageous for students to have access to their
own computer for offsite assignments and practice.
Course may include:
Close-up, portraits, food photography, night shots, movement, landscape, fi eld trips or class-oriented themes as the need arises. Course content may change depending on class make-up.
In order to fully utilise the course content, students should have their own digital camera which must be capable of altering shutter speeds, aperture and have a manual focus capability. Fully automatic compact cameras are not suitable for this course.The courses are hands-on, practical sessions with a specifi c topic being covered at each of the six sessions. Handouts will be provided.
