Timely Reminder of being careful on Facebook

With the recent articale on 3 News last night, it seems a good time to remind people of the pitfalls and threats that do exist in the world of Social Media. There are all kinds of people using social media sites like Facebook and Bebo to mislead others. When using social media remember these simple rules:

• Only accept people as friends who you actually know and even better have meet in person
  
• Set your security options to private to avoid non friends viewing your page
  
• Treat any contact from someone you don't know as suspicious
